Wellness Care

Annual wellness checks and preventive care are important to maintaining healthy pets. We administer all core vaccinations to keep your pets up to date following the vaccine guidelines set by the American Animal Hospital Association. Our standard of care includes fecal testing to detect intestinal parasites, deworming, and heartworm testing and prevention. Having your pet examined early also gives our veterinarians a chance to observe early signs of disease. Our top priority is helping your pet live the longest and healthiest life possible.

Testing

In-House Testing

With sick patients, time is of the essence. That is why, along with external diagnostic lab services, we offer the option of several in-house diagnostics. Within our hospital, we have the ability to do extensive bloodwork, urinalysis testing, perform radiographs, ultrasonography, and various cytologies.

This allows us to quickly screen for signs of disease in most of the major organ systems, so we can begin your pet's medical care as soon as possible. You will always be provided with a comprehensive treatment plan created by our veterinarian.

Surgeries

Our doctors here at Pet Medical Center of Duncanville perform routine, critical, corrective, and complicated surgeries Monday through Friday. Our elevated standard of care means all surgical patients are monitored by an experienced technician, and vital signs are observed throughout the entire procedure.

Pain management is administered during and after every surgery and sent home with each patient. We can ensure your pet is comfortable from the moment they walk through the door until they are fully recovered.

Dentals

Dental Prophies

Dental health is vital to your pet's well-being, because dental disease directly affects major organs such as the kidneys and heart. Under anesthesia, we perform complete oral exams, ultrasonic dental prophylaxis, and dental radiographs and extractions when necessary. In addition to providing quality dental care services, we offer a variety of options for keeping up with your pet's oral health needs between cleanings.

Cold Laser Therapy

We are proud to offer MLS Laser Therapy as an effective, proven, pain free treatment option for our clients who want to ease their pet's pain and inflammation. This comfortable, safe, therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that quickly reduce inflammation and swelling in tissues that are exposed to the laser. Cold laser therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions including arthritis, disc disease, post operative healing, and more.

Boarding/Bathing

Boarding & Bathing

Our kennel team loves to pamper your pets. They go out of their way to give individual attention to each animal in our boarding facilities, which are separated to give cats and dogs their own space. Every pet entering our kennel areas is required to be up to date on vaccines (including both strains of canine influenza), fecal exam, and deworming so that your pet will be safe during their stay. Baths are offered throughout the week which include nail trimming and ear cleaning.
